Beth E. Ward is an Assistant Vice President of Marketing at State Farm Insurance in a leadership development capacity. Her team serves as the voice of the brand to consumers and is responsible for the design and execution of national and field marketing communications and processes.
Beth joined State Farm in 2000 and has served in various roles across Marketing since that time in both Home Office and field capacities. She has experience across insurance and financial services product lines and helped launch State Farm’s first ever Health national advertising campaign and enterprise initiatives such as the movie sponsorship of Disney/Pixar’s CARS. Beth oversaw the development of marketing plans and tactics for the Young Adult and Women markets. Beth joined State Farm’s Pacific Northwest field operations in October 2008 as the Marketing Manager responsible for the data insight and marketing activities for the region’s six states. Beth was promoted to Marketing Communications Director in the Home Office in 2012. Her responsibilities included oversight of national marketing and advertising creative and execution teams along with the Zone Consultants who provided the Home Office connection to Field Marketing operations. Beth led the design and the 2014 implementation of a new operating model and organizational structure to drive effectiveness and efficiencies across the formerly separate Home Office and field marketing organizations.
Beth has earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, her MBA from the University of Illinois - Urbana, and her Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations.
Prior to working at State Farm, Beth oversaw marketing efforts for business-to-business and publicly traded companies in the Chicagoland area working with such elements as direct mail, internet, and mass media.
Beth and her husband, Stacey, live in Bloomington, Illinois with their two daughters Lauren and Lia. Beth and her family stay busy supporting their daughters’ passion for soccer. She enjoys reading and genealogy and has several volunteer positions at her church.
