Todd M. Schoon, JD, CLU®, ChFC®,  is currently the Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor to the President of The American College of Financial Services.

In January of 2016, Todd came to The College as a loaned executive of Northwestern Mutual as a way to give back to the profession. His initial focus was on marketing and distribution.

Todd began his Northwestern Mutual career in 1988 after graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in finance and a J.D. in law. Before following his passion of leadership, he built a successful personal practice in the Chicago area.

In 1995, he joined the home office as an Assistant Regional Director of Agencies and in 1999 was appointed Managing Partner in New York City. In June 2006, Schoon was recruited back to the home office as Vice President and he went on to lead the company’s distribution system as Executive Vice President - Agencies.

In the community, Schoon is a board member of the Penfield Children’s Center and also serves on the board of The American College of Financial Services. He is married to Jen and they have two children.
